Article Rules

These are the official Beatstar Mods Wiki rules. Read them carefully as to make sure you don't accidentally break one.

Rules

Editing Articles

1. Do not mass-delete content from pages.
2. Do not vandalize pages. (This means making large changes that are unrelated to the article, usually as a means of trolling.)
3. This is a wiki where anyone can edit. Please do not gatekeep pages. Just because you created a page does not mean you own it.
4. That being said, please only contribute if you have information that will meaningfully add to the page.
5. Do not add any unnecessary information.
6. Please use the correct templates and style guide when creating articles. A guide of all the templates can be seen here.
7. Use common sense and be nice.
8. NSFW content is limited as text only and cannot be overtly sexual. It must apply to the specific context of the article and cannot stray into uncharted/unhinged territory. Absolutely no NSFW imagery is allowed.

Things That Shouldn't Have Pages

1. Anything not related to Beatstar Mods or the Beatstar Mods Wiki.
2. Anything strictly about an NSFW topic, even if related to Beatstar Mods.
3. Any members of the server that have not been recognized/acknowledged by the Beatstar Mods community.
4. Pages for individual charts, songs, or bundles. This can be included on charter pages.

Images

1. Give images a unique name that identifies what it is. "Beatstar Mods Server Logo" is a much better title than "162895638."
2. Once again, absolutely nothing NSFW. If it is absolutely vital to the article to be there, censor anything that might be sensitive.
3. Do not upload any personal images of yourself, your friends or family unless it is already publicly available on the internet.

Creating Articles

1. Check to see if there is already a page on your topic. If there is, edit that page instead.
2. After creating your page, try to link it somewhere else if possible. This will prevent it from being a dead or orphaned page.
3. Unless you yourself are a recognized member of the Beatstar Mods community, please do not create a page for yourself. You have your Fandom user page to do this.
4. At the very least, please add at least a few sentences of content to your article. Do not create a page and leave it empty or slap a WIP tag on it and call it a day. It will most likely be deleted.
5. Do not use AI to write your articles for you. It may be used to check grammar or spelling mistakes, but that is it. If an article is detected to be AI generated or have elements of AI generated content, it might get deleted.

Administrative Actions

If you are found to break any of the above rules, you may be subject to a warning. Each time you are found guilty of repeating an infraction, you will receive a warning on your user profile. You can view what these warnings look like under the "User Administrative Templates" section of the Notice Template Gallery. After three warnings have been put on your account and you still continue to break rules, you will be blocked from further contributing to the wiki.
