Moonscraper is a desktop application originally developed by FireFox2000000 to help with the creation of Guitar Hero charts. It has since been repurposed by the Beatstar Mods community to create charts for Beatclone. A complete guide on how to use Moonscraper can be found in the #create-a-chart channel of the Beatstar Mods Discord server.
Basic Use
Upon initially launching the application, users will see a blank runway on the screen. There is no audio to start and the BPM is automatically set to 120, but these factors can be changed.
Once configuration is complete, charters place individual notes in the first three lanes to create a chart. They can right-click and drag to make a hold note, or place flags to create arrow notes or rail holds.
Completed Charts
Moonscraper uses the .chart file. When a charter is satisfied with what they made, they must put their .chart file through the encoding website to make the chart playable on Beatclone.
